1. Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
No. You can book directly without a referral. A referral is only needed if you wish to access Medicare rebates.
2. How do I get a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
You can ask your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician to assess whether a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHCP) is appropriate. Please bring your referral and MHCP to your first session if you would like to claim Medicare rebates.
3. Are you a bulk-billing practice?
No. We are a private-fee practice and all appointments involve an out-of-pocket cost.
4. What are your fees?
Therapy session (50 minutes): $250
Assessment fees vary depending on the type and scope of assessment. A clear quote can be provided before you proceed.
5. How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals, presenting concerns, and what pace feels right for you or your child. We will discuss this during your first appointment and review it together over time.
6. Do you offer online sessions (telehealth)?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for adults and adolescents.
7. Will I be involved in my child’s therapy?
Yes. Parent involvement is essential for younger clients, and we will guide you on how best to support your child at home and school.
8. What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee.
9. Do you offer after-hours or weekend appointments?
Yes, we do offer after-hours and weekend appointments. Appointments from 5pm onwards and on weekends carry a surcharge of $15 per hour.
10. What if I need urgent or crisis support?
We do not provide emergency or crisis services.
