Child & Adolescent Psychology

For You Psychology provides developmentally informed psychological assessment and intervention for children and adolescents.

Clinical work with young people considers the presenting concern within the context of developmental stage, emotional functioning, neurodevelopmental profile, family relationships, school environment, peer relationships and other relevant influences.

Children and adolescents may be referred for concerns relating to:

Anxiety & Fears Emotional Regulation & Behavioural Difficulties Low Mood School-Related Distress or School Avoidance ADHD & Executive-Functioning Difficulties Autism & Associated Support Needs Peer & Social Difficulties Self-Esteem & Perfectionism Adjustment to Family or Life Changes Grief & Loss Trauma & Significant Adverse Experiences

Parents and caregivers may be involved in treatment planning and intervention where clinically appropriate. With consent and where relevant to treatment, collaboration may also occur with schools, medical practitioners or other professionals involved in the young person’s care.
