Telehealth, Anywhere in Australia
For You Psychology offers secure Telehealth therapy, providing convenient online sessions from home for clients with travel limitations, distant locations, or a preference for remote care.
What You Can Access Remotely
Shivani’s neuroaffirming approach recognises neurological differences without viewing a person’s neurotype itself as something that requires correction. Clinical work instead focuses on understanding strengths, needs and experiences.
Adult Psychological Therapy
Full individual therapy sessions, held over a secure video platform.
Child & Adolescent Therapy
Where clinically appropriate for the young person's age and needs.
Parent Consultation
A convenient option for parent-only appointments where the child needn't attend.
Neuroaffirming Support
Accessing therapy from a familiar environment can reduce sensory and organisational demands.
Perinatal & Women's Mental Health
Support during pregnancy, postpartum and significant life-stage transitions.
Clinical Supervision
Supervision for psychologists, conducted remotely where suitable.
Selected Assessment Components
Some components of psychological assessment, where clinically appropriate.
How Telehealth Appointments Work
Appointments are conducted using a secure video consultation platform. Clinical standards for Telehealth appointments are the same as for face-to-face psychological services. Assessment, formulation, treatment planning, clinical documentation, privacy and confidentiality requirements continue to apply.
Clients are asked to attend from a private location with a reliable internet connection and suitable device.
Is Telehealth Suitable for Everyone?
The appropriateness of Telehealth depends on the individual’s clinical needs, age, presenting concerns and circumstances. Where Telehealth is not considered clinically appropriate, this will be discussed and an alternative form of care may be recommended.
Medicare and Other Funding
Eligible Medicare referrals may be used for Telehealth psychological consultations where the relevant Medicare requirements are met. Private, NDIS and other eligible funding arrangements may also be used for Telehealth services where applicable.
